Engineered by Aston Martin, the mighty 707PS that gives the car its name in fact comes backed by no fewer than 900Nm of torque, giving you access to sports car performance, thunderous acceleration, and commanding the highest top speed of any comparable luxury SUV.

Harnessing a Powerhouse

In an unprecedented move for an SUV so far, DBX707's nine-speed gearbox replaces the torque converter seen in conventional automatic with a race-developed wet clutch. It had to be done. With shifts that are 30% faster, allowing near-instantaneous access to its power and seamless transition from gear to gear, it was the only choice fit for the world's most potent luxury SUV.

Powertrain control through a rotary switch on the all-new center console gives you instant access to a range of five newly-configured drive modes. 'Sport+' mode is designed exclusively for DBX707 to bring you the most intense driving experience. You can also choose 'Terrain' for off-road driving, 'GT' for maximum touring comfort, 'Sport' for responsive road driving, or 'Individual' to select your personal preference for all elements including suspension, steering, and exhaust.

A Racing Start

DBX707's new wet clutch system has allowed the fitment of a fully-integrated autonomous launch control system, a first for DBX. In Sports+ mode, Launch Control drives DBX707 to accelerate with total authority and control. High torque loading, precision torque profiling, and integrated programmability of the clutch control enable maximum torque, traction, and drivability during launch. But with a 0-60 time of a little over 3 seconds, you'll barely have time to appreciate the difference.

Braking power

The world's most powerful luxury SUV needs a braking system capable of reining in all that raw potential. Every DBX707 comes with carbon ceramic brakes as standard. With a 420mm diameter at the front, these are the largest brakes of any kind ever fitted to an Aston Martin. The result is shorter stopping distances, greater durability, improved pedal feel, and a 33kg reduction in unsprung mass to make handling even better.

When we say new, we mean new. New front-end treatment has given DBX a larger front grille and all-new design of DRL complete with new air intakes and brake cooling ducts, plus a new front splitter profile.

Heavily sculpted profile

Dark satin chrome window surrounds and new louvred bonnet blades co-ordinate perfectly with the front grille and gloss black splitter. The stylish silhouette continues along the flanks with gloss black side sills with a deeper and more sculptured profile to give DBX707 a ground-hugging stance. It's the shape of things to come.
